The RSC is looking fora Technical Assistant Stage Manager tojoin the team at Matilda The Musical in London.

The appointed candidate would ideally start in January 2026.

An experienced Technical Assistant Stage Manager is required to work within the Stage Management and Automation departments to ensure the smooth running of performances and rehearsals. All applicants must have an understanding and practical knowledge of the principles and safe working practices of all areas of the theatre. Previous professional stage management experience is essential, and an understanding and practical knowledge of theatre rigging and automation systems is highly desirable. Previous West End experience is desirable but not essential.

This position is offered as a Tuesday – Sunday fixed term contract for 12 months.

The closing date for receipt of completed applications is midnight on Monday 9 November 2026.

Interviews are expected to take place in week commencing 16 November 2026.
