Job summary

Leeds City College is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join the Quarry Hill Campus. The role involves providing personalised support for students across practical and theory-based learning, helping develop skills, confidence and independence.

Experience in Music Production, Media Studies, Public Services or Art/Design is valued to enhance subject-specific support. The post is a part-time reduced-year role, 24 hours per week over 39 weeks per year, with a pro rata salary of £15,358.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in areas such as Music Production, Media Studies, Public Services, or Art/Design preferred.
• Ability to support students with High Needs and SEND.
• Experience delivering Personal Care or support in educational settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and off-site support within a variety of learning environments.
• Assist students with additional needs including mobility, hearing or visual impairments.
• Contribute to planning, preparation and assessment with the course team.
• Provide in-class support to meet needs of students with High Needs or SEND.
• Prepare and deliver verbal and written progress reports on students.
• Assist with emergency evacuation plans and drills.
• Keep accurate records of progress and strategies used.
