Job summary

Leeds City College is recruiting a Student Support Coordinator for the Music and Performance Production team at Quarry Hill. You will work to deliver a proactive pastoral support service, promoting student wellbeing and retention while coordinating with curriculum teams.

You will act as an emergency responder with first aid and safeguarding responsibilities and ensure proper recording of safeguarding referrals in MIS systems, supporting students toward positive destinations.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in pastoral support and wellbeing initiatives.
• Ability to promote student wellbeing and protect students from harm.
• Experience with safeguarding processes and responsive support.

Responsibilities

• Work with curriculum teams to support student success and retention through wellbeing initiatives.
• Provide pastoral support to learners to help them progress to positive destinations.
• Act as department emergency responder with first aid and safeguarding duties.
• Record and report safeguarding referrals using MIS systems and ensure processes are followed.
• Assist in safeguarding training and designated safeguarding officer responsibilities.
