Leeds City College are recruiting a Student Support Coordinator to join our Music and Performance Production team based at Quarry Hill. You will be working in a small team to deliver a highly effective pastoral support service to students.
The Music & Performance Production team, based at the Quarry Hill Campus, is a multidisciplinary creative-arts department covering music performance and production, acting, musical theatre, dance and backstage technical production.
It has industry-standard facilities including recording studios, music-production suites, rehearsal spaces, dance studios and the 180-seat Chroma-Q Theatre. Its strong links with organisations such as Leeds Playhouse and Northern Ballet give students opportunities to gain practical, industry-focused experience across performance and production.

You will provide pastoral support to learners ensuring they are able to progress into a positive destination.
You will act as the department’s emergency responder having undertaken first aid and mental health first aid training, this may also include training to administer medication. You will also complete the training to become a designated safeguarding officer.
Recording and reporting of safeguarding referrals within the school, using appropriate client record and MIS systems, ensuring processes are followed.
