Job summary

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a part-time Inpatients Rehabilitation Support Worker for Brixham Hospital. The role supports rehabilitation under qualified therapists on an inpatient ward, focusing on discharge planning and patient-centred care.

The post is 30 hours per week over 4 or 5 days, with a driving licence and vehicle expected for travel around the Bay. NHS Band 3 salary pro rata is £25,760–£27,476 yearly.

Qualifications

• Written and verbal skills are essential for patient interaction and documentation.
• Basic IT skills for electronic records and systems.
• NHS experience is desirable to understand hospital workflows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver rehabilitation programmes to increase patient independence and aid discharge.
• Assist in providing equipment to support patient independence.
• Support patients at discharge, including home visits or handover to carers.
• Support the therapy team in day-to-day functions.
• Work with the multidisciplinary team to achieve patient outcomes.
