Job summary

MorePeople are partnering with an established fresh produce business in the New Forest to recruit a Part-Time HR Manager (24 hours). This is a new role with a clean slate to shape and develop the HR function, implementing processes and procedures to support the business and its people.

The successful candidate will bring hands-on HR experience, be comfortable working independently, manage day-to-day HR activities, recruitment, onboarding, contracts, payroll support, and ensure compliance with UK

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR Manager or HR Business Partner role.
• Good understanding of HR processes and the full employee lifecycle.
• Experience developing or improving HR processes, ideally in a hands-on operational environment.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the HR function.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of UK employment law.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day HR support: act as first point of contact for employee queries and provide practical HR guidance.
• Recruitment and onboarding: coordinate recruitment activities, arrange interviews, manage candidate records and onboard new starters.
• Employee documentation: prepare employment contracts, offer letters and other HR documents.
• HR administration: maintain accurate employee records and HR systems, ensure confidentiality.
• Employee relations: support managers with absence management, probation reviews and routine ER matters.
• Employee lifecycle: coordinate onboarding, inductions, changes in employment details and offboarding.
• Payroll support: ensure employee information is accurate to support payroll.
• Policies and compliance: help develop and maintain HR policies and ensure legal obligations.
• Employee engagement: support initiatives that promote engagement and positive culture.
• External partnerships: liaise with external HR and accountancy partners as required.
