Job summary

Ranson Barnes Recruitment Limited is seeking a part-time Human Resources Manager to own the HR function, shaping policies, supporting managers and developing a small team of around 60 employees in the UK.

The role covers all aspects of the employee lifecycle from recruitment to offboarding, with a focus on compliance, data accuracy and confidential handling of information. Flexible hours and pro rata salary are offered.

Qualifications

• CIPD Level 5 qualification minimum; Level 7 desirable.
• Generalist HR experience with broad responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
• Experience supporting and implementing change management initiatives.
• Ability to coach, advise and support managers and employees on HR matters.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidential handling of employee information.
• Proficient IT skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain HR policies, ensuring legal compliance and clear communication.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and new starter documentation.
• Advise managers on employee relations issues and resolve matters professionally.
• Coordinate payroll changes and benefits with Finance.
• Oversee performance management and development discussions.
• Identify training needs and coordinate development activities with managers.
• Oversee employment changes and offboarding with proper procedures.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and HR databases with confidentiality.
• Support management with organisational change initiatives and drive process improvements.
• Provide practical HR guidance across the business as required.
