Niyaa People Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a Housing Officer to join a well-established housing organisation on a temporary contract. The role covers tenancy management, resident support and day-to-day housing administration.

This part-time position requires 24 hours per week, spread over 3 or 4 days, Monday to Thursday, with some travel to visit tenants. Office-based with travel to properties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Housing Officer or similar housing management role.
• Strong knowledge of assured tenancies and tenancy management.
• Experience managing rent accounts and arrears.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Responsabilités

• Manage a portfolio of assured tenancies and handle day-to-day tenancy management.
• Monitor rent accounts and take action to address arrears.
• Support tenants with tenancy-related queries and rent issues.
• Carry out tenancy visits and property inspections.
• Deal with tenancy breaches and resolve tenancy management issues.
• Support tenancy sustainment and build positive relationships with residents.
