Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Housing Officer for a well-established housing organisation in Birmingham. The role covers tenancy management and resident support on a 24-hour per week schedule. The position is office-based with travel to visit tenants, under an initial 4–6 month contract.

The Housing Officer will manage tenancies, monitor rent accounts, handle arrears, and support residents with queries while conducting tenancy visits and inspections.

Qualifications

• Experience as Housing Officer or in a similar housing management role.
• Strong knowledge of assured tenancies and tenancy management.
• Experience managing rent accounts and arrears.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.

Housing Officer - Temporary Contract

We're currently recruiting for a Housing Officer to join a well-established housing organisation in Birmingham. This is a key role focused on managing tenancies, supporting residents and ensuring effective day-to-day housing management.

This position is offering an initial 4-6 month contract to cover sickness absence, with working hours of 24 hours per week over 3 or 4 days, Monday to Thursday. The role is office-based, with travel required to visit tenants.

The Housing Officer will receive:

• £20-£22 per hour
• Part-time hours (24 hours per week)
• Initial 4-6 month contract

Key responsibilities for the Housing Officer:
