Job summary

Co‑op invites applications for a Funeral Service Crew member based in the Wroxham area. The role is part-time (30 hours per week) with on-call duties, a full UK manual driving licence required, and training provided for all aspects of the job.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence
• Ability to perform the physical aspects of the role (such as manual lifting). Training and equipment provided.
• Good IT skills and ability to use a range of technology devices
• Ability to stay calm and compassionate in emotional situations with customers
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy for compliance and records

Responsibilities

• Collect the deceased from various locations in a professional and empathetic manner
• Bear coffins on funeral day and drive funeral vehicles
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles
• Prepare coffins and engrave name plates
• Prepare the deceased for viewings and the funeral
• Maintain client management systems with accurate, timely records
• Safely lift and move coffins following health and safety guidance
