The Read House in Chattanooga seeks a Front Desk Agent to deliver an elevated guest experience from first phone call to checkout. You will greet guests, handle check-in/check-out, and share our historic story in a welcoming, professional manner.

The role is part-time with evening shifts and requires solid computer/PMS skills, a high school diploma, and 1 year of related experience preferred. Join a team devoted to hospitality excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of related experience preferred.
• Excellent computer skills including typing and accurate use of the PMS.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.
• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and serve guests with personalized, friendly service.
• Greet guests and perform check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
• Share the hotel's rich 1920s history with guests.
• Make, modify and cancel reservations.
• Answer inquiries and provide recommendations for facilities and local attractions.
• Collect payments, issue receipts, and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Coordinate guest requests with other departments and manage front desk emails.
• Resolve guest issues or complaints professionally and promptly.
