Job summary

Capita in Portsmouth is recruiting a Digital Learning Support Assistant to help learners build digital skills and confidence. You’ll provide one-to-one coaching, support access to digital platforms, assist with initial assessments and personalise learning plans.

You’ll work with instructors to create an inclusive environment, support learners with SpLD and neurodiverse needs, and help with Functional Skills English and maths. This is a part-time, permanent, onsite role with campus facilities.

Qualifications

• Good digital skills and familiarity with Microsoft 365.
• Experience coaching or supporting learners to develop new skills.
• Understanding of Functional Skills English and maths.
• Level 3+ qualification in education and training; coaching/mentoring certs are a plus.
• Experience within the military would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group coaching to help learners build digital skills.
• Help learners use digital systems and access learning materials.
• Assist with initial assessments and personalise learning plans.
• Support learners with SpLD and neurodiverse needs to access learning.
• Help with Functional Skills English and maths and track progress.
• Set up learner accounts and provide ongoing digital learning support.
• Maintain learner records and assist with exams, reporting and invigilation.
• Collaborate with instructors to foster an inclusive learning environment.
