Job summary

Dentalcare Hook is seeking a friendly, patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our busy practice in Hook. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling bookings, payments, and information about treatments while supporting NHS and private patient journeys.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, and diary management skills. Training and career progression within the expanding Dentalcare Hook team are provided.

Dentalcare Hook is looking for a professional, enthusiastic, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist to join our busy practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering an exceptional patient experience.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the reception area while supporting both NHS and private patient journeys.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Managing appointment bookings and maintaining an efficient clinician diary.
• Maximising diary utilisation and supporting practice performance.
• Discussing and promoting suitable private treatment options and dental plans to patients.
• Handling patient enquiries and providing accurate information about treatments and services.
• Processing payments and balancing daily transactions.
• Managing outstanding patient balances and supporting debt recovery processes in a professional and sensitive manner.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using practice management software.
• Coordinating communication between patients, clinicians, and the wider practice team.
• Supporting the practice in achieving excellent patient satisfaction and retention.

Essential

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.
