Job summary

Dentalcare Hook is seeking a friendly Dental Receptionist to join our busy practice and support NHS and private patient journeys. You will be the first point of contact, handling bookings, payments, and patient inquiries while keeping accurate records and promoting dental plans.

We offer development opportunities within a growing dental group and a supportive team environment, with hours 32 per week over 4 days in a hands-on, patient-centered setting.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Managing appointment bookings and maintaining an efficient clinician diary.
• Maximising diary utilisation and supporting practice performance.
• Discussing and promoting suitable private treatment options and dental plans to patients.
• Handling patient enquiries and providing accurate information about treatments and services.
• Processing payments and balancing daily transactions.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using practice management software.
• Coordinating communication between patients, clinicians, and the wider practice team.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the reception area while supporting both NHS and private patient journeys.

• Managing outstanding patient balances and supporting debt recovery processes in a professional and sensitive manner.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using practice management software.

• Supporting the practice in achieving excellent patient satisfaction and retention.
