Job summary

Dentalcare Hook is seeking a friendly Dental Receptionist to join our busy practice. You will be the first point of contact for patients, handling bookings, payments, and enquiries while supporting NHS and private journeys.

The role requires 32 hours over 4 days, with strong customer service, IT skills, and a proactive attitude to help achieve patient satisfaction and retention.

• Previous experience in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients and providing outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone.
• Managing appointment bookings and maintaining an efficient clinician diary.
• Maximising diary utilisation and supporting practice performance.
• Discussing and promoting suitable private treatment options and dental plans to patients.
• Handling patient enquiries and providing accurate information about treatments and services.
• Processing payments and balancing daily transactions.
• Managing outstanding patient balances and supporting debt recovery processes in a professional and sensitive manner.
• Maintaining accurate patient records using practice management software.
• Coordinating communication between patients, clinicians, and the wider practice team.
• Supporting the practice in achieving excellent patient satisfaction and retention.
