Skipton Building Society is seeking a Customer Service Consultant to support our Hexham branch. The role is part-time, 28 hours per week, with a focus on delivering exceptional service and understanding customer needs.

You will be the friendly face and voice of Skipton, helping customers review their savings options and guiding them through products and services with a practical, empathetic approach. Training and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience interacting with customers in person or over the phone.
• Bank or building society background preferred but not required.
• Contact Centre experience is beneficial.
• Ability to work well with others in a one-team mindset.
• Ability to stay organized in busy periods and manage time well.
• Willingness to learn and adapt with business needs.

Responsabilités

• Be the First Point of Contact: greet customers in-branch and on the phone, ensuring a positive initial interaction.
• Understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions based on our savings products.
• Listen to customers and tailor recommendations to their circumstances.
• Proactively reach out to customers by phone to discuss how we can help.
• Maintain accurate records in internal systems, with emphasis on vulnerable customers.
• Adhere to policies, standards and training provided.
