Job summary

Newcastle Building Society is seeking a part-time Customer Adviser to join our frontline team in North Shields. You will greet customers, handle transactions, and help people with savings accounts while delivering outstanding service in a friendly, face-to-face environment.

The role is 21 hours per week across Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9am–5pm, plus Saturday rota shifts. A comprehensive 12-week training programme supports your development and career progression.

Qualifications

• Being great with people and building relationships with customers.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions at the counter.
• Assist in opening savings accounts and related banking tasks.
• Open and set up tills, cash handling, and end-of-day cashing up.
• Book appointments and provide in-branch support to customers.
