Job summary

Hobbycraft is seeking General Assistants for two part-time positions in our store. Roles involve supporting the Store Management Team to run store operations and deliver a customer-focused shopping experience.

You will represent the Hobbycraft brand, handle till transactions, restock displays and assist in Click & Collect processes, with shifts of 8 or 12 hours per week. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including a generous holiday allowance, staff discounts, pension and wellbeing

Qualifications

• Retail experience is desirable.
• Confident communicator delivering outstanding customer service.
• Passion for craft.
• Selling skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Brand ambassador – you will be passionate about the Hobbycraft brand, embracing change in a positive and proactive way.
• Teamwork – you will build great working relationships with the team and treat individuals fairly and with respect at all times, adhering to our Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging policy.
• Customer Service – you will deliver outstanding customer service, putting the customer at the heart of everything you do. You will have excellent communication skills and interact with our customers, sharing your passion and knowledge of craft.
• Change – you have the flexibility to recognise change and approach it in a positive, proactive way.
• Policies and Procedures – you will comply with all Company policies and Health and Safety Regulations.
• Shop Floor – you will deliver excellent standards; you may replenish stock and assist in changing displays.
• Cash Handling – operating the till and handling cash/credit/debit/gift cards transactions.
• Click and Collect – assist with Click and Collect processes.
• Stock Control – minimise stock loss and ensure tagging processes are followed.
• Workshops – you may be required to host various workshops.
