Job summary

Hobbycraft in Southampton is seeking a Store Colleague for two temporary roles, 8 hours per week each, with contract ending 31 January 2027. You will support the Store Management Team to deliver a customer-focused shopping experience and uphold brand standards.

Experience in retail and a passion for craft are desirable. You will handle cash, maintain displays, assist with Click & Collect, and participate in workshops as needed.

Responsibilities

• Brand ambassador and positive representation of Hobbycraft
• Build great working relationships with the team and customers
• Deliver outstanding customer service and communicate effectively
• Assist with stock replenishment and store displays
• Operate tills and handle cash transactions
• Support Click and Collect processes
• Maintain store cleanliness and merchandising standards
• Support shop floor operations and stock tagging
• Host workshops when required

Hours of Work - 2 temporary positions x 8 hours per week (each)

Salary - £12.71 per hour

As a Customer Advisor at Hobbycraft you will support the Store Management Team to deliver all aspects of the store operation, initiatives and performance. AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Brand ambassador – you will be passionate about the Hobbycraft brand, embracing change in a positive and proactive way

• Policies and Procedures - you will comply with all Company policies and Health and Safety Regulations
• Shop Floor - you will deliver excellent standards and know what good looks like You will be required to replenish stock, keeping the displays clean, full and tidy at all times. You may also assist in changing displays of stock.
• Cash Handling - Operating the till and accurately handling cash, credit/debit cards and gift cards transactions.
• Click and Collect - you will be required to assist with the Click and Collect process
• Stock Control - Being vigilant at all times to help minimise stock loss and ensure tagging processes are followed
• Workshops - you may be required to host various workshops

Experience

• Retail (or similar) experience is desirable
