Northumberland County Council’s Learning Cafe at Cramlington Community Hub is seeking a Community Hub Support Assistant (Catering) to deliver welcoming service. You’ll handle food and drink service, basic food prep, and coffee preparation on a barista machine, with a focus on customer experience for hub users.

The role is 15 hours per week (3 x 5 hour shifts), fixed term until 31.03.29, requiring good numeracy and literacy, awareness of health and safety, and hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• A good general education, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge or certification (desirable but not essential).
• Bar and hospitality experience, including handling food and drinks(desirable but not essential).

Responsabilités

• Serving food and drinks in our cafe and bar
• Basic food preparation and making coffees on our barista machine
• Assisting with bookings and maintaining a friendly environment for all hub users
• Carrying out light cleaning and safety tasks to keep the hub in great shape
• Providing a great customer experience
