Job summary

Northumberland County Council’s Learning Hub in Cramlington is hiring a part-time Community Assistant (Catering) to deliver friendly service in the on-site cafe and bar. You will handle food and drinks, assist with bookings, and support hub users while maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Work is 15 hours per week (3 x 5 hr shifts) on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2029. Previous bar/hospitality experience is desirable but not essential; basic food hygiene knowledge is helpful.

• A good general education, numeracy, and literacy skills.
• Awareness of health and safety practices.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge or certification (desirable but not essential).
• Bar and hospitality experience, including handling food and drinks (desirable but not essential).
