Job summary

Northumberland County Council’s Staff Bank is recruiting Community Hub Support Assistants for Cramlington. These are flexible, ad-hoc temporary roles in our Community Hubs with assignments ranging from sickness cover to longer placements (up to 12 months).

Pay is £13.70 per hour and shifts may include evenings and weekends. Successful candidates will help create a welcoming, user-focused environment, assist with bookings, serve in the café/bar, and support events.

Qualifications

• Awareness of health and safety practices.
• Basic food hygiene knowledge is desirable.
• Bar and hospitality experience is desirable.
• Good general education, literacy and numeracy skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve food and drinks in the café and bar.
• Assist with bookings and create a welcoming hub environment.
• Carry out light cleaning and safety tasks.
• Help set up rooms for events and community sessions.
• Open and close the Hub as required.
• Provide basic digital and device support to visitors.
