Job summary

West Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group (Haverhill Family Practice) is seeking a Care Navigator/Receptionist on a part-time basis (24.5 hours per week) to welcome patients, answer calls promptly and book appointments.

You will arrange home visit requests, signpost to the correct clinician, handle e-consults and repeat prescriptions, register new patients and support the practice team with admin.

Flexibility to cover staff leave and maintain a friendly, efficient service is essential.

Qualifications

• Confident dealing with members of the public.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming patients via telephone or face to face.
• Answering incoming calls in a prompt, friendly efficient manner.
• Booking of appointments.
• Arranging home visit requests.
• Signposting patients to the correct clinician
• Receiving and processing daily E-consults from patients
• Handing repeat prescription/med3 requests
• Registering new patients
• Liaising with members of practice team
• Managing out-going correspondence
• Updating patient demographics
• General administration duties
• Daily auctioning of tasks
