Part Time Bookkeeper / Administrator

Job Location: Creekmoor, Poole

Job Type: Part-Time, Permanent

Salary: Depending on experience up to £15 - £16.50 per hour

Hours: 24 hours per week - the company are flexible on working hours and days and can offer this as 3 full days or across 4 / 5 days

We are working with a well‑established lift installation and service company who are seeking a Book Keeper / Admin Assistant on a part time basis to work from their premises in Creekmoor, Poole. This company has built an excellent reputation for their expert advice, knowledge and friendly approach.

Working within a small team you will be responsible for sales ledger, purchase ledger, banking, expenses, credit control and general office administration. The company does have an accountant that undertakes all the accounts and payroll but requires everything to be prepared for them, which this role does.

Responsibilities
  • Inputting of invoices & purchase orders
  • Creating and sending out all sales invoices
  • Undertaking daily purchase ledger tasks, including processing all purchase invoices & matching receipts to invoices
  • Credit control
  • Collating all sales ledger information to be sent to the accountants
  • Collating payroll information
  • Collating costs & expenses, transferring into systems on a daily basis
  • Being the first point of contact for all phone calls into the business, directing calls and taking messages where necessary
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within a bookkeeping / accounts function
  • Experience of Xero or QuickBooks would be beneficial
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail.
  • All-round office I.T skills (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise and manage own workload.
  • Good communication skills both in face‑to‑face and on the phone.
