Job summary

White Lion in Reading is seeking a part-time Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and lead the team to deliver excellent guest experiences. You’ll mentor staff, oversee day-to-day operations, and act as Duty Manager when needed, ensuring smooth service from kitchen to floor.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a hospitality team in a busy pub or restaurant setting.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.
• Ability to train and develop staff to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Responsibilities

• Use your management experience to support the General Manager in day-to-day operations and act as Duty Manager when needed.
• Inspire and train the team to deliver food, drink, and service to a high standard.
• Be a role model and guide development within the team.
• Lead the team to create moments that WOW our guests and encourage repeat visits.
