Job summary

Cognita is seeking a caring, enthusiastic 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to support a child with additional learning needs in a Breaside School setting in Bromley. You will tailor support to access the curriculum, foster communication and social-emotional growth, and work within the Primary Stage Curriculum planning and assessment.

The role is part-time, 12 hours per week across 3 mornings, requiring NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) and GCSE English/Maths at grade C/4 or above, plus

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Childcare (or equivalent) and GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children and understanding of the Primary Curriculum.
• Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with a child with Additional Learning Needs to access the curriculum.
• Provide tailored support to help develop communication skills and social-emotional development.
