Job summary

Mytchett Primary & Nursery Academy is seeking a Learning Support Assistant 1-1 for a part-time, term-time role (22.5 hours, 8.30am–1pm, Monday–Friday). You will support a pupil with an EHCP, help maintain a safe learning environment and promote inclusive participation in learning and activities.

The ideal candidate is kind, caring, patient and enthusiastic about helping children reach their best, with some experience supporting children with additional needs.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support a child in Year 1 with an EHCP
• Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment
• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all children in learning and extracurricular activities
• Show professionalism by having proper regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the academy
• Consistently demonstrate the positive attitudes, values and behaviour which are expected of pupils
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other colleagues
