Job summary

Your Staff Group in London is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to work one-to-one with a child in South East London. You will assist the Tutor by delivering personalised activities, keeping learners engaged and building confidence throughout sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people in educational, childcare, youth work, mentoring or support settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a child during tutoring sessions.
• Work collaboratively with the Tutor to deliver personalised learning activities.
• Encourage participation, engagement and positive learning behaviours.
• Support the child's emotional wellbeing and confidence development.
• Adapt support strategies to meet the child's individual needs and learning style.
• Assist with organisation, focus and task completion during sessions.
• Record observations and provide feedback on progress and engagement.
• Help create a safe, positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Promote independence while providing appropriate levels of support.
