Job summary

Gravesham Borough Council is seeking a dedicated parking enforcement officer to patrol on street and in car parks, on foot and by vehicle, across the borough. This permanent, full-time role operates on a seven-day rota, with a 37-hour week, requiring a full UK driving licence and DBS clearance.

The role involves enforcing restrictions, issuing penalty charge notices, assisting residents with enquiries, and reporting street issues to the appropriate departments.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the importance of good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking restrictions on street and in car parks, on foot and by vehicle, across the borough
• Issue penalty charge notices to vehicles parked in contravention of restrictions in force
• Assist the public with council-related enquiries to a high standard of customer service
• Report street issues such as potholes, streetlights, abandoned cars, graffiti and rubbish to the relevant department or agency
