BCP Council is seeking a Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol the public highway, council streets and car parks, enforcing parking regulations and assisting the public with enquiries.

Shifts run between 07:00 and 23:59, seven days a week. You will issue penalty charge notices, provide affidavits, record contraventions and support maintenance of parking assets. A UK manual driving licence is required; starting salary is £29,542 (pro rata for part-time).

Qualifications

• No formal educational qualification required but must be able to write brief reports and accurately record information relevant to a possible prosecution.
• UK manual driving licence is required.

Responsabilités

• Patrol the public highway, council-owned streets, and off-street car parks in shift patterns between 07:00 and 23:59, 7 days a week.
• Sign for all issued equipment and ensure it is working at the start of each patrol.
• Enforce decriminalised parking, issue penalty charge notices, provide affidavits and attend hearings as a witness.
• Check parking machines on site and use a digital camera to record contraventions.
• Drive a council vehicle when required, including a moped after training.
• Assist in maintenance of lines, signs, car parks and other parking equipment during patrols.
