Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver at the Carlisle Delivery Office (CA1 1AA). The role is permanent, 30 hours per week across five days, with shift hours from 14:00 to 20:00 and weekend work on a local rota.

You will prep your van, plan routes, and deliver parcels while providing excellent customer service in the local community. Applicants should hold a full UK manual driving licence (max 6 penalty points), be upbeat and self-motivated, and enjoy engaging with customers as a friendly

For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
