Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver for Tiverton Delivery Office on a fixed-term contract for nine months. The role is 37 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with shifts 12:00–20:00 and weekend rotas as required, in the EX16 6BH area.

You will prep your van, use route-planning tools, and deliver parcels to customers, acting as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail. Full UK manual licence with <=6 points is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Able to work afternoons and early evenings.
• Strong customer service mindset and represent Royal Mail positively.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels across the assigned area throughout the week.
• Pre‑pping the van and workload for the day using route-planning tools.
• Securely deliver all items on the route, including election materials, per Royal Mail standards.

Hours: 37 hours per week, working five days across Monday - Sunday, working between 12:00 and 20:00

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
