Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Carlisle is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver to join a permanent team. You will deliver parcels across your assigned area, prep your van and use route-planning tools to ensure on-time deliveries.

The role requires working 30 hours weekly, 5 days across Monday to Sunday, with a 14:00–20:00 shift and occasional weekend work as part of a local rota. The position offers competitive pay (£13.68/h), 22.5 days holiday (rising with service), a uniform, pension and various development

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 14:00 and 20:00

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

A bit about you

• Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
