Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Colchester is hiring a Parcel Delivery Driver to join our team. This permanent role involves delivering parcels across the local area, using route-planning tools and providing excellent customer service.

You will work 30 hours per week, across Monday to Saturday, with shifts between 08:14–14:14 and 13:45–19:45, including Sunday 12:00–18:00 on a 4 over 6 rota. Full UK driving licence required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Ability to deliver parcels and maintain high service standards.
• Comfortable using basic route-planning tools and following schedules.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels across the assigned Colchester area.
• Prep van and workload for daily deliveries.
• Use route-planning tools to ensure timely deliveries.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as a Royal Mail ambassador.

Sunday shift working between 12:00 and 18:00 on a 4 over 6 week rota plan

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.
