Job Description:

We are partnering with a boutique, financial planning firm located in central Buckinghamshire. As a growing and dynamic practice, they are seeking an ambitious individual with knowledge of financial planning, currently a paraplanner but aiming to progress into a Junior Adviser position. The candidate will support two advisors by paraplanning, learning the business, meeting clients, and gradually taking on advising responsibilities and managing some client accounts.

This well-established independent and directly authorized firm is committed to developing talent internally, offering training, client-facing experience, and mentoring. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about building a long-term career as a Financial Advisor. There is potential for succession planning, as one partner plans to retire in a few years and intends to transfer the business and clients to the adviser team.

Key duties include:

  • Onboarding new clients and supporting existing client service
  • Assisting a financial advisor during client meetings
  • Sending out letters of authority
  • Liaising with product providers
  • Collaborating closely with the administrator
  • Performing general administrative duties as needed

The ideal candidate will have a background in paraplanning or as a junior adviser, hold the DipFA or equivalent Level 4 qualification, and be willing to undertake dual paraplanning/junior adviser roles until fully integrated into the firm. The candidate should also aspire to achieve chartered status and thrive in a supportive, busy team environment.
