Job summary

CFP JOBS is looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our growing financial planning team in York, with hybrid working and a full-time role. You will work closely with advisers to deliver high-quality financial plans, robust technical support and excellent client outcomes.

The role involves preparing suitability reports, researching pensions, investments and protection, supporting planning strategies, and involvement in inheritance tax planning, trusts and BPR.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma required.
• Strong paraplanning experience in a financial planning environment.
• Excellent technical knowledge and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with inheritance tax planning, Trusts, BPR, EIS and VCTs beneficial.
• Organised, proactive and able to manage varied work.
• Team-focused with culture, collaboration and long-term growth.
• Positive attitude and desire to contribute meaningfully.

The Role

We're now looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our growing team. You'll work closely with our Advisers to help deliver high-quality financial planning, robust technical support and outstanding client outcomes.

This is not a "sit quietly and write reports" role. We want someone who enjoys being involved, contributing ideas and becoming a valued part of the wider business.

What You\'ll Be Doing

• Preparing suitability reports and financial plans
• Carrying out technical research across pensions, investments and protection
• Supporting Advisers with planning strategies and client recommendations
• Working on inheritance tax planning cases, including Trusts and Business Property Relief (BPR)
• Supporting recommendations involving EIS and VCT planning
• Helping improve processes and efficiencies as the business continues to grow
• Collaborating with a close-knit, ambitious and supportive team

What We\'re Looking For

• Level 4 Diploma qualified as a minimum
• Strong paraplanning experience within a financial planning environment
• Excellent technical knowledge and strong attention to detail
• Experience or exposure to inheritance tax planning, Trusts, BPR, EIS and VCTs would be highly beneficial
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing varied work
• A team-focused person who values culture, collaboration and long-term career growth
