Job summary

Reed is seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner in the South West region with hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) and a salary up to £50,000. You will support Financial Planners and Client Executives, deliver high-quality reports, and conduct technical research across pensions, investments, and protection.

You’ll use cashflow modelling tools, CRM systems, and standard MS Office to produce clear recommendations while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong client outcomes.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Paraplanning role.
• CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, and protection products.
• Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
• Experience using financial planning software, cashflow modelling tools, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Financial Planners and Client Executives to deliver a seamless client experience.
• Produce high-quality suitability reports that clearly explain recommendations and outcomes.
• Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and wider financial planning areas.
• Use cashflow modelling and scenario planning tools to support client decision-making.
• Analyse and review fact-finds, risk profiles, and client information to identify opportunities and potential gaps.
• Assist in the development and review of complex financial planning strategies.
• Prepare application forms and supporting documentation for new business and existing client changes.
• Liaise with providers, clients, and colleagues to obtain information and resolve queries efficiently.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Keep up to date with industry developments, tax legislation, and FCA regulations.
• Contribute ideas and best practice to help improve processes and client outcomes.
