Job summary

Reed is seeking a Senior Paraplanner to join our financial planning team in the South West, offering hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 days from home) and a salary up to £50,000 plus benefits. You’ll deliver high-quality reports, support complex financial planning and work closely with Financial Planners to enhance client outcomes.

Applicants should have Paraplanning experience, a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, and strong pensions/investments knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a Paraplanning role.
  • CII Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection products.
  • Excellent understanding of FCA regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts into clear and concise reports.
  • Experience using financial planning software, cashflow modelling tools, CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.

  • Work closely with Financial Planners and Client Executives to deliver a seamless client experience.
  • Produce high-quality suitability reports that clearly explain recommendations and outcomes.
  • Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and wider financial planning areas.
  • Use cashflow modelling and scenario planning tools to support client decision-making.
  • Analyse and review fact-finds, risk profiles, and client information to identify opportunities and potential gaps.
  • Assist in the development and review of complex financial planning strategies.
  • Prepare application forms and supporting documentation for new business and existing client changes.
  • Liaise with providers, clients, and colleagues to obtain information and resolve queries efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Keep up to date with industry developments, tax legislation, and FCA regulations.
  • Contribute ideas and best practice to help improve processes and client outcomes.

About You

To be successful, you will have:
