Job summary

CFP JOBS in York is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join our growing financial planning team. You’ll work closely with Advisers to deliver high-quality technical support, robust reports and outstanding client outcomes in a hybrid, full-time role.

The position offers a competitive £42,000–£45,000 salary, 38 days holiday and a focus on development, progression and a supportive culture that values collaboration and long-term career growth.

Qualifications

• Level 4 Diploma minimum.
• Strong paraplanning experience within a financial planning environment.
• Excellent technical knowledge and strong attention to detail.
• Experience or exposure to inheritance tax planning, Trusts, BPR, EIS and VCTs would be highly beneficial.
• Organised, proactive and comfortable managing varied work.
• A team-focused person who values culture, collaboration and long-term career growth.
• A genuinely positive attitude and a desire to help build something meaningful.

Responsibilities

• Preparing suitability reports and financial plans.
• Carrying out technical research across pensions, investments and protection.
• Supporting Advisers with planning strategies and client recommendations.
• Working on inheritance tax planning cases, including Trusts and Business Property Relief (BPR).
• Supporting recommendations involving EIS and VCT planning.
• Helping improve processes and efficiencies as the business continues to grow.
• Collaborating with a close-knit, ambitious and supportive team.

We're now looking for an experienced Paraplanner to join our growing team. You'll work closely with our Advisers to help deliver high-quality financial planning, robust technical support and outstanding client outcomes.

This is not a "sit quietly and write reports" role. We want someone who enjoys being involved, contributing ideas and becoming a valued part of the wider business.
