Job summary

West Midlands Ambulance Service University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for Erdington Hub. You will lead a diverse team, ensuring delivery of operational and strategic objectives while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.

The role requires HCPC-registered paramedics with NQP consolidation and relevant courses; leadership experience and CPD commitment are essential for success and service improvement across the Trust.

Qualifications

• HCPC Registered Paramedic with evidence of NQP consolidation/portfolio sign-off where applicable
• NARU Operational Commanders & SORT Practitioner courses completed
• Commitment to ongoing CPD and professional registration requirements
• Leadership and supervisory experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and management to operational/non-operational staff to ensure high quality service and KPI achievement.
• Oversee daily management, estates, clinical supervision, medicines management and infection prevention across the operational area.
• Promote service developments and new equipment; manage hospital turnarounds with Trust and hospital staff.
• Mentor staff and participate in clinical competency panels and development plans.
• Ensure CPD and Personal Development Reviews are conducted for staff and maintain Paramedic registration and CPD; cooperate with external agencies as needed.
