Job summary

London Ambulance Service NHS Trust is seeking a Deputy Director of Emergency Operations Centre to provide strategic and operational leadership of the 24/7 EOC, including call handling, dispatch, clinical triage, workforce delivery and governance. You will lead a large multidisciplinary team, drive performance, and shape urgent and emergency care across London.

The role requires extensive NHS leadership experience, delivery of service transformation, and the ability to operate in high-pressure

Qualifications

Master's degree or equivalent senior leadership experience in NHS or emergency services.
Educated to masters level in healthcare leadership or emergency planning.
Evidence of senior leadership development.
Advanced knowledge across EOC operations and urgent care.
Knowledge of national regulatory context governing emergency call handling and dispatch.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Emergency Operations Centre.
Lead delivery of operational performance, quality, workforce and financial objectives.
Develop and implement the EOC's strategic, business and transformation plans.
Lead workforce planning and succession across the portfolio.
Ensure governance to manage risk, patient safety and service quality.
Work with system partners to improve patient pathways and outcomes.
Provide executive leadership during major incidents.
Deputise for the Director at forums.
Lead service redesign and technology-enabled improvement programmes.
