Job summary

Irwin Mitchell is seeking a Paralegal in Leeds within the Personal Injury team, offering hybrid working 3 days a week. You will support fee earners, handle client queries with empathy, and progress cases under supervision to meet department targets.

You will liaise with clients, medical professionals and external organisations, upholding high standards of care and professional conduct. A law degree is essential.

Qualifications

• Paralegal experience in Personal Injury/Serious Injury is desirable.
• Genuine interest in Serious Injury work.
• Law degree or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal skills with empathy for clients.
• Confident communicator, both written and verbal.
• Ability to interact with clients and external organisations.
• Proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.
• Team player with diligent task management.

Responsibilities

• Progress cases with a legal and rehabilitation focus, liaising with clients and attending meetings.
• Meet time and fee targets to support profitability.
• Attend team and practice meetings and contribute to objectives.
• Stay up to date with changes in relevant law and attend training.
