Job summary

DWF is recruiting a Paralegal to join the Major Injury and Casualty team in Leeds on a hybrid basis. The role suits recent graduates or those with personal injury experience ready to contribute within a well-established team.

You will manage EL/PL and disease matters, draft documents, and support senior lawyers with high-value cases while maintaining accurate records and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Genuine interest in pursuing a legal career in Employers Liability, Public Liability and Disease work.
• Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent attention to detail and data analysis.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Understanding of client needs and business acumen.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of fast-track casualty claims including EL/PL and disease matters.
• Assist Partners and Directors with high-value, complex cases and regulatory matters.
• Draft court documents and attend hearings, meeting court deadlines.
• Conduct liability investigations and gather evidence, prepare client advice, identify medical experts.
• Review medical records and related documents.
• Maintain case management system, ensuring accuracy and client service levels.
• Handle MI, data reporting and billing with precision.
• Provide high levels of client care at all times.
