UK Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship Programme
£20,000 per annum
As a Panel Wiring Apprentice, you will learn to construct and assemble high‑quality electrical panels that form the foundation of Schneider Electric’s advanced solutions. Through hands‑on training, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and innovation, you will help deliver reliable, efficient, and sustainable electrical distribution systems, ultimately supporting Schneider Electric’s leadership in energy management and automation.
During your apprenticeship, you will receive two different types of training.
On‑the‑job training will be delivered by Schneider Electric, as your employer. You’ll receive training and supervision to help you perform the job you’ve been hired to do. This will include skills and knowledge that fall outside of the apprenticeship but are needed for the job role. As well as providing on‑the‑job training, it is important that we support you in additional ways to ensure your success.
Types of support will include:
Off‑the‑job training is delivered by one of our carefully selected training providers during your normal working hours. You will spend at least 20% (average 6 hours per week) of your working hours completing off‑the‑job training. This is protected time and is a requirement for apprenticeship delivery. This training will teach you the knowledge, skills, and behaviours set out in the apprenticeship standard so you can achieve occupational competence.
37.5 hours per week to be worked from Monday to Friday.
Exact start and finish times are to be agreed upon with your Line Manager. Some of these hours will be allocated to off‑the‑job training as part of your Apprenticeship Programme.
Monday to Thursday: 07:55 to 16:25
Friday: 07:55 to 13:25
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), at Grade 4 or above including Maths, English and a science‑related subject.
No pre‑requisite experience required but a demonstrable interest in engineering through school or hobby interests.
