Job summary

IBIS London City Shoreditch is seeking a Painter and Decorator to carry out painting, decorating and basic maintenance in a hospitality environment on-site in London.

Experience in painting is preferable; knowledge of security regulations is preferable. You will prepare surfaces, apply finishes, hang wallpapers and maintain assets, while supporting guest comfort and safety. This is an on-site role with career growth across Accor's global portfolio and access to Accor Academy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge about security regulations is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the surrounding area, including covering fixtures and furniture to prevent messes
• Preparing painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls
• Applying paint, varnishing and other finishes, hanging wallpapers and other decorative products
• Cleaning up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completing the project
• Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements
• Actively seek to contribute to the comfort of guests and visitors
• Remain proactive and approach tasks and requests with a can-do-attitude
• Assist in record keeping and keep daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment
• Apply the Hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
