Job summary

IBIS London City Shoreditch and IBIS Budget Whitechapel seek a hands-on maintenance painter to prepare surroundings, cover fixtures, apply paint, varnish, hang wallpaper, and tidy tools. You will help maintain guest areas and support the hotel team in delivering a clean, welcoming environment.

Experience in painting is preferred; familiarity with hotel safety rules is a plus. You will work on-site in London, join a diverse Accor network, and enjoy benefits such as staff meals on duty, uniform,

Qualifications

• Experience in painting and decorating is preferable.
• Knowledge about security regulations is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surrounding area, including covering fixtures and furniture to prevent messes.
• Prepare painting surfaces, including removing old paint, filling holes and cracks and washing walls.
• Apply paint, varnish and other finishes, hanging wallpapers and other decorative products.
• Clean up painting tools and supplies, replacing fixtures and rearranging furniture after completing the project.
• Conduct routine inspection of premises and equipment and handle basic repairs and maintenance requirements.
• Actively seek to contribute to the comfort of guests and visitors.
• Remain proactive and approach tasks and requests with a can-do-attitude.
• Assist in record keeping and keep daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment.
• Apply the Hotel's security regulations (in case of fire etc)
