Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is offering an Electronics Engineering Summer Placement for 13 weeks. You will work on real-time avionics sensor projects, collaborating across disciplines, applying academic knowledge to design, test and support hardware, and developing practical ECAD and test equipment skills.

You will be guided by a supervisor and can rejoin for future placements or progress to the Graduate Development Programme, with a 1 June to 27 August 2027 schedule and on-site hybrid work at

Qualifications

Working towards Electronics Engineering, Engineering Science, Physics or related discipline.
Interest in Electronic/Hardware Engineering disciplines (RF, Microwave, Power Supply, FPGAs, etc.).

Responsibilities

Solve real-life engineering problems on avionics sensor systems.
Collaborate across disciplines to meet project targets.
Apply academic knowledge to design, test, qualify and support technologies.
Develop hardware design skills and learn ECAD/tooling for aerospace applications.
Learn under supervision and engage with the engineering community.
