Job summary

Leonardo UK Ltd in Edinburgh is offering a 13-week Summer Placement for Mechanical Engineering students to work on real projects from day one. You’ll contribute to radar, laser, LDEW and infrared countermeasure development, with coaching from a dedicated team and opportunities to join IPTs or the central analysis group.

Qualifications

Enrolled on a Bachelors/Integrated Masters in Mechanical Engineering.
Relevant mechanical engineering work experience.
Experience with technical writing and project planning.
Strong analytical and modelling skills.
Evidence of teamwork.
Experience with CAD tools such as PTC Creo is desirable.

Responsibilities

Contribute to development and delivery of radar, laser, LDEW and infrared countermeasure products.
Receive training tailored to the role and business area.
Be given responsibility for delivering a specific project task, with support from senior Mechanical Engineers.
Apply the technical and soft skills from your degree to industry.
