Job summary

Leonardo invites Electronic Engineering students to join a 13-week Summer Placement at our Edinburgh site, starting 1 June 2027 and finishing 27 August 2027. You will spend three to four days per week on site designing, testing or integrating electronic circuits and components, contributing to real-world avionics projects.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to solving real life engineering problems on state‑of‑the‑art avionics sensor systems.
• Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines to help project targets.
• Apply your academic knowledge to real projects including design and testing.
• Develop practical hardware design skills using ECAD tools and test equipment.
• Learn from an experienced supervisor and the wider engineering community.
