Job summary

Welbeck Cambridge is seeking a PACS/Imaging Administrator to support imaging systems, provide frontline IT assistance, and safeguard patient data. You’ll work with clinicians and radiographers to ensure efficient patient pathways and accuracy across PACS, RIS and related platforms.

You will be a proactive problem-solver, comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced private healthcare environment, and committed to governance, confidentiality, and high-quality diagnostic services.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare IT environments with exposure to imaging systems such as PACS or RIS.
• Strong problem-solving and prioritisation under a fast-paced service model.
• Clear, professional, and empathetic communication for users with varying technical expertise.
• Commitment to governance, confidentiality and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for imaging system queries, incidents, and service requests, triaging and resolving issues to achieve first-time fixes.
• Provide first-line support for PACS, RIS, and associated imaging systems and equipment.
• Support the upload, download, and transfer of patient imaging across systems (e.g. PACS, IEP, CIMAR).
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality standards.
• Manage and prioritise incidents, service requests, and system maintenance tasks.
• Liaise with clinicians, radiographers, and administrative teams to support efficient patient pathways.
• Support the implementation of new systems, technologies, and improved ways of working.
• Assist with reporting, communications, and responding to urgent clinician and patient requests.
• Escalate incidents, complaints, and risks appropriately in line with governance processes.
• Contribute to audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support service delivery and patient.
